About the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy
St. Theresa Bacq Public School is run by Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, Congregation. The
Generalate is located in Rome, Italy. The Congregation is founded by Mother Theresa Bacq
in 1888. It is an internal congregation and its members are well known as Mercedarian
Sisters. Today the sisters from our Congregation serve humanity in every part of the world in many spheres: Education, Clinics, Orphanages, Old Age Homes, Social Services, Parish
Apostolate and Family Apostolate.
St. Theresa Bacq Public School is founded in the Catholic Christian tradition. The focus of
this school is the provision of an education for all children which guides their spiritual,
academic, social, emotional and physical development through a balanced curriculum.
